I would like to see more discussion about the cultural implications of The Blues today. The origins of this genre are uniquely American, yet the themes of the music and contagiousness of the rythm and sounds are universal.

That is a worthy topic of discussion. I plan to write more about Blues music in the coming months. In the meantime, I encourage you to get the ball rolling by starting up discussions in the Blues/Soul forum. For example, what specific issues (re: cultural implications of The Blues today) did you want to cover?
